You must have given full play to your imagination of some innovative inventions while undergoing various discomforts in everyday life. Even if it was only an empty delusion in the past, it has appeared in a reality through a variety of ideas and advanced technologies. As the era of seemingly impossible computer and mobile phone has arrived, the notion, like ‘if this product or technology is available, it would be really nice’, makes our society progress. Some creative products and technologies which are closely related to our life have been invented these days, and they are attracting many people by obviating trivial but bothersome inconveniences.
The first innovative technology is the automatic parking system. Three years ago, a Japanese car company which advertised their new automatic parking system was highlighted worldwide. In the advertisement, a woman succeeded in parking by operating her car by a small remote control. The basic principle of this technology is simple that the driver determines the distance and obstructions through the camera mounted on the front, back and side of the car, and parks in the correct position based on it. The driver can determine the entire process of parking by the images sent in real time, while operating only the transmission and the brake. In Korea, the domestic auto parts specialized company has developed the world’s first automatic parking system at right angles in 2010, and it has accelerated to advance on the markets. Especially, Steering Parking Assistance System (SAPS) of Hyundai is using ultrasonic sensors equipped left, right and centre parts of the car to detect parking space and operate the handle. This system is not different from that used in the world that drivers only have to operate pedals in the parking process.
Second is the 3D makeup printer which obviates the discomforts of women to wear makeup every morning. Recently, it has been reported that the skincare brand Foreo of Sweden has developed the 3D makeup printer which enables people to cosmeticize in 30 seconds. This machine, named Moda, uses a technology which integrated 3D printing technology and real-time facial recognition software. You can choose one of the makeup looks you want in mobile application, and both face mapping software and biometric lens capture the shape and pigments of the face by 3D scanning system. Then, cosmetics which uses a very safe material like mineral to paint faces of people are sprayed through nozzles. The cosmetic process goes along in the order such as make-up base, foundation, and eye shadow. Foreign media has said that if the production of its prototype is completed, it would take place out makeup revolution, and the printing application range of 3D printers would be even further expanded.
The third is the wireless charging technology of smart phone which was issued from 2012. LG Electronics has introduced wireless charging technology in Optimus G, and Samsung also put the magnetic induction coil in an additional case for the technology from Galaxy S3. Current wireless charging technology is largely divided into magnetic resonance method and magnetic induction system. The basic principle starts with the transmission of an electronic power through a coil, and it makes magnetic forces to occur. These forces are transmitted to other coils by approaching and they change into current when unwound. How to create the coils and how to pass the magnetic forces is the difference between the two wireless charging technologies. Recently, Samsung Electronics has introduced another wireless charging technology whole launching Galaxy S6. It is a short-range magnetic induction charging technology and produces strong magnetic forces by winding current around a coil. Then, by folding a coil made with the same frequency here, the magnetic induction is intact. The magnetic induction system is completed when unwinding it and converting into electricity.
The emergence of such products and technologies is achieved through innovative idea and the development of technologies. Some things, which we now think to be impossible, would be able to emerge in the real life soon. To make such a progress, our creative idea and the efforts for technological research are so essential. In addition, financial assistance and investments have to be based certainly to lead the change of society.
